„Sesir moj“ is one of the four most famous taverns in Skadarlija, although (as most guests don’t know) it wasn’t opened until 1990.

In just a quarter of a century Sesir moj has gained such a powerful reputation, and it is considered one of the most traditional taverns in Skadarlija.


A new chapter for the tavern began in 2017, when Vlada Ilic retired after 50 years of service in Skadarlija, and let the Todorovic family take over the wheel.

What a lovely place! Me and my boyfriend fell in love with this resturant. We went here on a monday evening, and we almost passed by because of it didnt seemed as much from outside until we heard the music playing inside that we decided to give it a try. Best desicion we made, we were just overwhelmed by the atmosphere, food and music. It gave us an overall experience of the Serbian culture as well with local food. The waiters were so friendly. This was our favorite place in Beograd. Cant reccommend this place enough. Highlight of this place is definitly the live music!

We have been with friends after 5 years agsin in Belgrade. Sesir moj was again perfect choice for tipical serbian food. Cevapcici with kajmak were delicious. Highly recommend.

The atmosphere was amazing! We enjoyed the typical Serbian live musicians who were playing into the restaurant. The food was amazing and the portions were big! Will visit again!

Walking along Skadarska, we went to one of 18 rests in the area. The outside sitting area was vacant as it is winter. Inside, the place was full of couples and tourists out for good Serbian food and music. This resto has two groups of music players plus an actress who recites poems about the bohemian place.

Want to eat local food, drink and make friends? Have a good time? This is one of those places. Decorated with fantastic art all around the restaurant walls, 2 bands playing balkan music at two corners of the restaurant great ambiance and helpfull and smiling service staff. I had fun there. I can see myself become a regular costumer in that place.
